Electronic price tags are small displays on the shelf that show the price and product information. They update from the management system, with no manual paper replacement. Electronic shelf labels (ESL) are used in supermarkets, pharmacies, electronics and fashion stores. How the ESL system works

The price list is stored in the store's inventory system. When a manager changes a price, the data goes to the base station, which updates the right tags on the sales floor over radio. Repricing the whole store takes minutes, and the shelf price always matches the price at the checkout. Nova tags with e-ink (EPD) screens use power only when the image changes, so the batteries last a long time.

Nova EPD price tags with screens from 1.54 to 7.5 inches in black, white, red and yellow. The ESL26 2.67″ model works in refrigerated cases and freezer zones.

What the price tag shows

The screen fits the regular and promotional price, a loyalty card discount, item number, country of origin and a QR code linking to the product description. Content can change on a schedule, for example for evening discounts on fresh food.
